What inviol can detect in your warehouse

Every warehouse has its own layout, policies and pressure points. inviol's computer vision AI adapts to your environment and detects the specific risks that matter most on your site. Common detection scenarios include:

Pedestrian-forklift proximity

The most dangerous moments in any warehouse happen when people and machines share space. inviol monitors pedestrian-forklift interactions in real time, flagging near-misses and close calls before they escalate. This is the single biggest source of serious warehouse injuries (and one that traditional reporting almost always misses).

Exclusion zone breaches

Whether it's a charging bay, a high-traffic loading lane or an area with overhead crane activity, inviol detects when someone enters a zone they shouldn't be in and logs the event with video evidence for follow-up coaching.

PPE compliance

Hard hats, high-vis vests, safety footwear. inviol detects missing PPE in defined areas and captures the moment on video (with blurred faces), so coaching conversations are grounded in real situations, rather than assumptions.

Loading and unloading zone activity

Dock areas are consistently high-risk zones due to the mix of reversing vehicles, pedestrians, uneven surfaces and time pressure. inviol monitors these areas continuously and flags unsafe interactions that supervisors would otherwise never see.

Speeding and unsafe vehicle behaviour

A forklift travelling too fast through a blind corner or intersection is one of those risks everyone knows about but nobody sees consistently. inviol tracks vehicle speed across defined zones, giving you data on where and when speeding actually happens (not just where you think it happens).

Manual handling and ergonomic risk

Repeated unsafe lifting practices contribute to musculoskeletal injuries, which remain one of the most common and costly warehouse injury types. inviol can flag manual handling events for review, helping identify patterns before they become chronic issues.

Where truck-side risk actually happens

Transportation and material moving workers remain the occupational group with the most workplace fatalities in the United States. Falls, slips and trips, contact with objects and pedestrian-vehicle interactions are consistently among the top causes of serious injury for truck drivers and the workers around them.

But a significant portion of that risk doesn’t happen on the road. It happens at the vehicle: during loading and unloading, while climbing on and off trailers, around the back of a truck at a customer site, or in a busy yard where pedestrians and reversing vehicles share tight spaces. These are the moments that are hardest for a safety team to observe directly, because they happen across dozens of vehicles, at dozens of locations, every day.

inviol’s on-truck operational safety solution uses vehicle-mounted cameras to monitor what happens around your trucks and trailers during these high-risk activities. The same computer vision AI that powers inviol’s warehouse monitoring analyses on-vehicle footage in real time, detecting complacent behaviour and capturing it as short video clips for coaching and review.

What inviol detects on and around your vehicles

inviol’s on-truck detectors are configured to match the specific risks your fleet and your operations face. Detection scenarios cover the activities that happen around vehicles during loading, unloading and delivery.

People-vehicle distance

Detects when pedestrians come too close to moving or maneuvering vehicles, including during reversing, docking and yard movements.

PPE compliance (truck)

Spots missing helmets and other required PPE around vehicles, logged with video evidence for coaching follow-up.

Manual handling

Flags unsafe lifting practices during loading and unloading, helping identify patterns before they lead to musculoskeletal injuries across the fleet.

Truck active fall zone

Monitors the active fall zone around trailers during loading and unloading, flagging when workers or bystanders enter areas where falling objects or equipment create risk.

Fall from height and jumping

Detects when workers jump from the side or back of vehicles rather than using proper access points. Falls from trucks are one of the most common causes of serious injury in freight and logistics operations.

Fleet-wide visibility, site-level coaching

One of the biggest challenges in truck and fleet safety is visibility. Your vehicles operate across multiple customer sites, depots and delivery locations. A supervisor can’t be at every truck, on every route, during every load. Riks that happens at the vehicle often goes unseen and unreported unless someone happens to be watching.

inviol changes that by giving you a consistent view of what’s happening across your fleet. Events detected on any vehicle flow into the same platform, the same dashboard and the same coaching workflow as your on-site detections. You can compare risk across vehicles, routes, sites and shifts using the same reporting tools.

The coaching workflow works the same way as it does for warehouse operations. When an on-truck event is detected, it’s captured with a short video clip and flows into the platform for a supervisor to review, comment on and use in coaching conversations or toolbox meetings. Footage is blurred for privacy, so the focus stays on the behaviour and the situation rather than identifying individuals.

For operators running both warehouse and fleet safety through inviol, this creates a single, unified view of risk across the entire operation. The same platform, the same coaching approach and the same reporting, whether the event happened in a warehouse aisle or on the back of a truck at a customer site.
