INDUSTRY

Logistics & freight

Logistics risk spikes where people, trucks, and time pressure collide.

Spot risky behaviour as it happens, using CCTV cameras you already have. inviol helps to capture these moments, then turn them into safety culture changing coaching moments across all sites and fleets.

What inviol detects in logistics and freight environments

inviol’s detectors cover both yard-based and on-truck risks, configured to match your specific operations.

Pedestrian-vehicle proximity

Detects close calls between workers and trucks or forklifts in yards, on docks and around vehicles during loading and unloading. The most common source of serious injury in logistics operations.

Loading and unloading zone activity

Monitors dock areas and truck-side activity for unsafe interactions, including during reversing, docking and manual handling of freight

Falling from height and jumping

Detects when workers jump from the side or back of trucks or trailers rather than using proper access points. One of the most common causes of serious injury in freight operations

Vehicle speed

Tracks forklift and vehicle speeds across yard zones, flagging when thresholds are exceeded in areas shared with pedestrians and other equipment.

PPE compliance

Spots missing hard hats, high-vis vests and other required PPE across yards, docks and vehicle-side operations, logged with video evidence for coaching.

Safety in logistics and freight

Logistics and freight operations move fast, and the risk moves with them. Yards and docks are where trucks, forklifts and pedestrians converge under time pressure, often across multiple shifts and multiple sites. Loading and unloading is consistently one of the highest risk activities in the supply chain, with reversing vehicles, manual handling and tight spaces all contributing to near-misses that can escalate quickly.

The challenge for logistics operators is that risk is spread across the operation. It’s in the yard at your main depot, on the dock at a customer site, on the back of a truck during a delivery, and at every handover point in between. No single supervisor can see all of it, and traditional reporting tends to capture only the incidents that someone happened to witness or that resulted in an injury. inviol gives logistics and freight operators visibility across both on-site and on-truck environments, using existing CCTV in yards and depots alongside vehicle-mounted cameras on the fleet. Events from both are captured in the same platform with the same coaching workflow and the same reporting, so you get a unified view of risk across the entire operation.
